Submitting the paper to the Editorial Office, make sure of the obligatory information in the article and required files.

✓ Subject section (see the List of scientific specialties, by which the Journal is included in the HAC List)
✓ UDK
✓ Title of the article in Russian and English
✓ Full name for each author (in Russian and English (in transliteration))
✓ Corresponding author (for contacts)
✓ Structured abstract of 200–300 words (in Russian and English), briefly reflecting a method novelty and research results
✓ Keywords in Russian and English (5–10 words)
✓ Sources of data
✓ Mathematical expressions should be only in the equation editor, not as images
✓ Legend of mathematical expressions (explanations of all variables are given in the order of their appearance)
✓ Numbering of those formulae, that are mentioned in the text below
✓ SI base units
✓ All figures must be prepared in a separate file of jpg, tiff, and cldr formats, with a resolution appropriate for printing
✓ All graphic elements (except for high-resolution maps) have to be editable (i.e. opened in the same software, in which they were created). Original files of figures, tables and graphs can be requested separately
✓ Illustrations should be inserted in the text by means of the option Insert→Picture→Wrap text→In Text
✓ Tables should be created using MS-Word tools: Insert→Table. A table must have title, heading, and stub
✓ All titles of illustrations, tables, as well as notes and captions should be duplicated in English
✓ References (see the Reference format) should be formatted in accordance with the Manuscripts' formatting and publication guidelines of the “Geosystems of Transition Zones” Journal
✓ References: 1) provide DOIs in the format of https://doi.org/ or full Internet addresses (URLs) for links where it is possible; 2) provide descriptions of the English version (if it is published) or bibliographic information in English available in the original (full names of the authors in Latin, the English title of the article and source); 3) all sources are easily detected by search engines (Google, Yandex, etc.)
✓ «Quantitative» text parameters: 12–15 words (in average) in a sentence (except for long technical terminology); 4–5 strings (in average) in the paragraph; each paragraph covers one question or statement
✓ Text of an article should be written in literate Russian or good English (American English or British English are appropriate, not their mixing). In order to avoid accidental mistakes, it is recommended to use the functions of the text editor "spell check" and "grammar check".
✓ Pages should be numbered
✓ Full information for all authors is given in the end of an article:
• Academic degree (if any), academic rank
• Position or profession (for each author)
• Place of employment, study – affiliation name, including division, department (for each author in Russian and English)
• City, Country
• e-mail (indicated for each author, cannot be the same for all the authors); corresponding author phone numberà
• ORCID ID for each author (how to get it see ORCID) in the format of https://orcid.org/XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX as well as SPIN-code in the Science Index system, Researcher ID and Scopus Author ID if any. For an article to be automatically added to the author's ORCID profile, the author must allow Crossref to add new data to the profile: http://search.crossref.org/auth/orcid

Attention! Reviewers and authors have to check whether their ResearcherID and ORCID accounts are connected (see Synchronizing Scientific Profiles) to keep track of reviews and more complete accounting of publications in the researcher's scientific profile (see Researcher profiles synchronization).

✓ Additional material to an article (if desired and necessary) to be posted in electronic version or as a separate publication
✓ Manuscript material includes the following files:

✓ Scanned copies of the following covering documents are attached to a manuscript:
• Author’s statement (it is necessary to print, fill out and sign, then scan it, save in jpg or pdf format and send by e-mail: gtrz-journal@mail.ru (the article will not be published, if the editors do not receive the Statement)
• Expert report (in the form accepted in your organization) on the possibility of publication in the open press
• List of potential peer-reviewers (if desired): 4–6 specialists (at least from two different regions or countries; experts in the given field; lack of cooperation, including co-authorship over the last three years; not members of the Editorial Board of the journal)
• Confirmation of permission receipt to use tables, figures, fragments protected by copyright from the other sources (including internet sources). See: On the permissions to use third-party material
